Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled on the TrekMesh website (trekmesh.com), in particular when you join our waitlist. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and French data protection law.
The TrekMesh mobile application is covered by a separate, in-app privacy notice. The app runs autonomously on your device with no central server: this website policy does not apply to it.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The website is published by Axel Giqueaux, an individual operating as a sole trader (auto-entrepreneur), acting as the data controller. For any data-related request, please use our contact form.
2. What we collect, why, and the legal basis

We do not use advertising networks, behavioural tracking, or analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.). We do not buy or enrich your data from third parties. Providing your email is entirely optional — the website is fully usable without it.
3. Who your data is shared with (processors)
We do not sell your data. We rely on a small number of service providers (sub-processors) who act on our instructions:
3.1 Resend — email delivery and waitlist storage
When you join a waitlist, your email address is stored as a contact in Resend, the service we use to manage our lists and send transactional emails (your confirmation email and an internal notification to us containing your address and the signup time). We also use Resend to deliver the messages you send us through the contact form.
Resend is operated by Resend, Inc., a company based in the United States. As a result, your email address — and, for messages sent through the contact form, the name, subject and message you provide — is transferred to and stored in the United States. This transfer is governed by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). See Resend's privacy policy.
3.2 Amazon Web Services — hosting
The website is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the Paris region (eu-west-3, European Union). Server logs are processed within this infrastructure.
3.3 Google — contact inbox
Messages you send through the contact form are received and retained in a Gmail mailbox provided by Google LLC (United States), where we read and reply to your enquiry. Like the Resend transfer above, this is covered by appropriate safeguards under the GDPR (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
4. How long we keep your data
- Waitlist email: until you unsubscribe, or until we close the waitlist (after launch your contact is either migrated to a user account with your consent, or deleted). Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Server logs: kept only for a short period (up to 30 days) for security and troubleshooting, then deleted.
- Contact messages: kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
5. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time (unsubscribing from a waitlist email does exactly this).
To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL.
6. Cookies
The website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. For details, see our Cookies page.
7. Children
The website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data in transit is protected by TLS (HTTPS). Access to the waitlist contacts and to messages received through the contact form is restricted to the publisher and to our processors (Resend, Google). The website itself stores no database of accounts.
9. Changes to this policy
Any material change will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
10. Governing law
This policy is governed by French law and the GDPR. For any question or complaint, use our contact form or contact the CNIL.
